Projects that do not meet these requirements may not be considered. All surfaces must face outward: the collision system recognises the exterior front face.

Triangles: 500,000 total
Texture resolution: 1024 × 1024 px maximum
File size: Around 20 MB (optimise textures)
File format: FBX (Binary) or GLB
Units: Metres — 1 unit = 1 metre

Submission Terms

Terms for proposing a project

Last updated: 25 August 2026. These terms apply when material is sent through this page. They govern evaluation only and do not grant Was Never Built permission to publish the project.

Who may submit

You must be the author, rights holder, or an authorised representative. You must be entitled to share every submitted text, image, model and link, and must identify relevant architects, studios, photographers, visualisers, collaborators and other rights holders accurately.

Evaluation permission

You permit Marzio Camasso and Leonardo Marchesi to receive, store, review and technically test the submitted materials solely to evaluate their suitability for Was Never Built. Technical testing may include opening, converting or temporarily optimising a copy of a model. Submission does not guarantee review, acceptance or publication.

No publication licence at this stage

Ownership remains with the respective rights holders. If a proposal is accepted, publication requires a separate written agreement identifying the approved assets, credits and permissions. That agreement may grant Was Never Built a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for its editorial archive, immersive experiences and official editorial communications, including necessary web adaptations such as resizing, compression, format conversion and integration into an interactive 3D environment. Was Never Built will not sell or commercially license submitted materials for unrelated purposes without a separate written agreement.

Review, withdrawal and deletion

We may request further information, decline a proposal or stop its evaluation. You may withdraw a proposal before a publication agreement is concluded by writing to wasneverbuilt@gmail.com. Material for a declined or withdrawn proposal is normally deleted within 12 months of the decision, subject to limited retention required to resolve rights, security or legal issues.

Personal data

Personal data associated with a proposal is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not provide unnecessary personal data about collaborators or other third parties.
