About the archive
Was Never Built is an independent editorial and immersive archive founded and operated by Marzio Camasso and Leonardo Marchesi. It documents unbuilt architecture through editorial records, source references and interactive reconstructions. It is not an online shop, professional-services marketplace or contracting platform.
Any enquiry that may lead to separate professional work will be discussed directly and, where appropriate, handled by an independently operated professional practice under its own terms and privacy information.
Editorial character
The archive aims to distinguish documented facts, editorial interpretation, reconstruction and missing information. Nevertheless, records may be incomplete and projects may change as better sources become available. Content is provided for general cultural, educational and informational purposes and is not professional architectural, engineering, legal or conservation advice.
Copyright and credits
The website’s original editorial structure, interface and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Architectural works, drawings, photographs, texts, models, trademarks and other contributed materials remain the property of their respective rights holders and are presented with record-specific credits and permissions.
You may browse and link to public pages and make limited quotations with appropriate attribution where permitted by law. No term on this page removes statutory exceptions or limitations to copyright. Unless a record or licence expressly permits it, you may not republish complete records or media, redistribute or extract 3D assets, remove credits or rights notices, or reproduce substantial parts of the archive.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the operation or security of the website; bypass access or download controls; introduce malicious code; impersonate another person; or use automated systems in a way that damages service availability, disregards technical restrictions or creates an unauthorised substitute archive. Legitimate indexing by search engines and proportionate scholarly reference are not prohibited by this clause.
Immersive experiences
Interactive 3D scenes are interpretive digital experiences and may not reproduce every design detail, material, scale or historical condition. Availability and performance depend on the device, browser and network. Use the movement, camera and virtual-reality features only in a safe physical environment and stop if you experience discomfort.

Corrections and rights notices
If you identify an error, missing credit or possible infringement, write to wasneverbuilt@gmail.com with the relevant page, material and supporting information. We will review substantiated notices and may correct, restrict or remove material while a matter is assessed.
Availability and changes
We may correct, update, suspend or withdraw parts of the archive, including experimental 3D features. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or absolute accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
